We’re heading into our first full week of school, Dragons! 🖤💛 Our attendance goal this year is 97%, and we need everyone here and ready to learn to make it happen! ⏰ First bell: 7:45 AM ⏰ Tardy bell: 7:55 AM We’re also excited about our attendance incentives this year! 🐉 Elementary: Each Friday, the class with the highest attendance for the week will be recognized on announcements and gets to keep the Dragon in their classroom for the week! 🎉 Secondary: The class with the highest attendance for the six weeks will earn a class party! Every day matters. Every student counts. Let’s start this first full week strong!

🐉 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TOMORROW! 💛🖤 We’re excited to welcome our Dragons back on Wednesday, August 12! ⏰ Doors open: 7:30 a.m. 🔔 First bell: 7:45 a.m. 🏫 Elementary: Parents may walk their elementary student(s) to their classroom on the first day. Students who are eating breakfast will eat first and then head to their classrooms. 🍳 Secondary: Students may eat breakfast and will then report to the old gym. All 6th–12th grade students will stay in the old gym for a few minutes before being dismissed to class. 🚒 Fire Truck Heads Up! A few of our students won a fire truck ride to school through a raffle held by the fire station this summer! Don’t be alarmed if you see a fire truck or two pulling up Wednesday morning! We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow! 💛

📢 STAAR Results Available Today! 📢 Grades 3-8 STAAR results are now available through the Texas Assessment Family Portal. High school STAAR End-of-Course (EOC) results were released on June 10. To view your student’s results: ✅ Visit http://texasassessment.gov ✅ Click on the Family Portal ✅ Enter your student’s TSDS ID, legal first name, and date of birth ✅ Save the access code generated by the system for future STAAR reports ✅ View your student’s assessment results The portal will automatically display the most recent scores, and previous years’ results can be viewed by selecting a different testing year from the menu at the top of the page. If you need assistance accessing your student’s scores, please contact Mrs. Johnston or Mrs. Halbert.

FREE athletic physicals will be offered at Iredell ISD on Friday, May 15th at 8:00 AM in the New Gym. Physicals are required for all incoming 6th, 9th, and 11th grade students participating in athletics for the 2026-2027 school year. Baylor Southwest Sports Medicine & Orthopedics will be providing the physicals.

Kyle Woody Named to 2025-2026 Academic All-Stars
We are proud to celebrate Kyle Woody, who has been officially named to the prestigious Smoaky’s Academic All-Stars team for the 2025-2026 season.

Being selected for this elite 20-member team is a remarkable feat that places Kyle among the top tier of student-athletes in the region. To even be considered for this honor, candidates must maintain a minimum 90.0 GPA, compete in at least one varsity sport, and demonstrate active leadership in school clubs and community service.

A Legacy of Excellence
Kyle joins a group that represents the absolute pinnacle of "student-athlete" dedication. This year’s team boasts an incredible overall average GPA of 101.6, proving that Kyle’s commitment to his studies is just as fierce as his performance on the field.

The Academic All-Stars program, presented by the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance and 365 Sports, has honored student-athletes for 39 years, raising over $750,000 in scholarship funds.

Congratulations to Kyle Woody for this well-deserved recognition and for representing Iredell ISD with such distinction!
