🎉 Happy New Year from Iredell ISD! 🎉 We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and success for our students.

During the December board meeting last night, an adjustment was made to the school calendar. Just like the past two years, Iredell ISD will host the Junior High UIL competition. To successfully host such an event, it is necessary to change January 21 from an instructional day to a teacher workday. Mark your calendars: there will be no school on January 21 as Iredell Independent School District proudly hosts the district Junior High UIL competition. We are excited to welcome participants and showcase our wonderful community, as well as our dedicated faculty, staff, volunteers, and competitors! Any JH students who participate in an on-campus event on January 21 will be invited to a special fun outing during the Spring Semester. High school and elementary students will not have school on January 21, 2026.

🐉 Elementary UIL District Runner-Up! 🥈 We are incredibly proud of our Elementary Dragons! Iredell ISD earned District Runner-Up with a grand total of 394.1 points at Elementary UIL. This accomplishment reflects the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of our students, coaches, and teachers. Way to represent Iredell ISD with excellence! 💛🖤🐉

📣 Academic UIL Schedule Update – This Friday, December 12 Attention 2nd–5th grade parents: Bluff Dale ISD has revised the Academic UIL schedule for this Friday, December 12. This change may affect the time your child will be leaving campus for the event. Please be on the lookout for more specific details from your child’s teacher regarding their individual departure time. Thank you for your flexibility as we support our students in representing Iredell ISD at UIL. 🏆

🎄 12 Days of Good Attendance – Day 3 🎄 🏆 WINNERS: 10th Grade Class! 🏆 Congratulations to our sophomores for showing up strong and earning today’s attendance win! Your commitment to being present and ready to learn is making a BIG difference — and we couldn’t be prouder! 👏

So proud of our Dragons! They kicked off the Walnut Tournament with TWO big wins, and Alex hit the game-winning shot in a crazy close first game! That momentum carried them straight into another victory. Proud of their hustle, teamwork, and heart. Wish them luck as they keep it rolling on Saturday!

We're especially thankful for students who go above and beyond. These Dragons are setting the example, showing kindness, helping others, and making our school a better place.
