Bio:    I was born in Bentonville, Arkansas. My family moved to Grand Prairie, Texas when I was four years old. I lived there with my parents and four brothers until I graduated from Grand Prairie High School in June, 1965. 

 

My father and all four of his brothers were WW11 veterans and my brother (Michael) is a Vietnam veteran. I am very proud of their service for our country and thankful that all of them returned home. God Bless All of Our Veterans!

 

I met Lonnie Hanshew during my senior year and we were married in October, 1965.

After completing Business School in Ft. Worth, I was employed by UAW Local 848 in Grand Prairie until 1968 when we started our family. We lived in the Arlington area until the spring of 1972. Lonnie was homesick for the country and I wanted our children to attend school in a smaller district, so we sold our place in Mansfield and moved to Iredell (where Lonnie grew up and graduated – Class of 1963).

We have four beautiful children (all graduates of Iredell High School): Tracey (High School Teacher), Deann (Cosmetologist), Elaine (Payroll Accountant/Human Resource Director) and James (Certified Firefighter/EMT). We also have wonderful, beautiful, terrific grandchildren…Kayla (& husband, Blaine), Wyatt, Errin, Dylan and Colton.

 

I began my employment at Iredell ISD in 1991.

 

Continued Education:  3 CEU Credit hours in Accounting @ Tarleton State University

59.5 + CPE Credit hours of technical training in PEIMS, Winschool and RSCCC Porgrams.
