Maria Bailey

I was born on July 30th and raised in Morgan since the 2nd grade. I was Salutatorian when I graduated in 1988.  I went to Hill College in Hillsboro but ran out of money.  Later, I moved to Waco, where I met my handsome husband, Andy Bailey.

The Bailey family moved to Meridian in 2002 and have no complaints.  We have one beautiful little boy, Andrew.  He is a member of the Cub Scouts.  We also have another little boy, Aiden or Aidan, on the way - Due date January 16th or the 21th.  We can't decide how to spell his name but it is Ireish and it means "little firey".  My husband, Andy, works in Waco, and is on the Meridian Volunteer Fire Department.  He is also a soldier for the Army National Guard.  Go Guard!  Hoah!!  I am so proud of him.

I joined Iredell ISD in August of 2005 and love working in the library and with the students.  I love working with the kids here and the teachers.  It is nice to work in an environment where everybody loves their job and is "good" at it.  I think Iredell ISD is a great school and I am mighty pround to be here.  Go Dragons!

Hobbies:  Going shopping, quiet nights at home watching movies with my family, spending time with Weeza (best friend), and going to Riverside Baptist Church in Meridian

Favorite Shows:  Discovery Channel, TLC, History Channel, Sci-Fi Channel, "CSI", "Are You Being Served", and "Keeping Up Appearances"
