Biography:  I graduated from Hico I.S.D. in 1982.  After graduation, I worked at several different jobs.  In 1991, I gave up my job at the First National Bank in Hico to be a full-time mother.  Around 1995, I worked part-time as treasurer for the First Baptist Church in Iredell.  In 2002, my youngest child was starting school and I took a job in the lunchroom at Iredell I.S.D.  I worked there for 2 years.  During the summer of 2004, I became a certified teacher aide and worked that next year in the kindergarten classroom.  In the summer of 2005, I was trained and certified to be  facilitator for the C.E.I. program.  It is a reading program that helps readers who are behind and need an extra boost, dyslexia students, ESL students, and students who have trouble spelling.  It is a great program and I enjoy teaching it.

Personal:  I was born and raised in Hico, Texas.  In May of 1990, I married Mickey Burns, a life-long resident of Iredell.  He is the manager of Singleton Tree Farm.  He also farms and has cattle.
In October of 1991, Hayley Nicole was born.  Hayley is very active at school.  She runs cross-country and track.  She is a varsity cheerleader, plays basketball and is on the A honor roll.
In January of 1998, William Neal was born.  Will plays flag football and little dribblers.  He is on the A-B honor roll
