Biography:
This is my 37th year in education.
I graduated from Angelo State University with a
Bachelor of Science degree in December 1971.
IN August of 1975 I earned a Master of Education
degree from Texas Tech University. My
teaching experience has included teaching
physical education, reading, speech, theater
arts, driver's education, and health. For
5 years I was a resource teacher in the special
education area. I have coached volleyball,
basketball, tennis, track, gold, and UIL
speaking events. Since 1987 I have been a
school counselor. Before coming to
Iredell, I have worked in San Angelo, Crosbyton,
Fort Stockton, Comanche, and Eastland. |

Personal:
I have been married to my husband David, who is
a salesman at Bruner Dodge in Stephenville, for
32 years. We have two daughters. The
oldest Shayla is a Pre-K teacher in Tahoka and
the youngest is a senior at Texas Tech.
Shayla and her husband Curtis have blessed us
with two beautiful grandchildren: Caleb
who is three years old and landree who was born
on May 29, 2006. |

Hobbies:
My favorite hobby is spending time with my
grandchildren but since they live so far away, I
do have other interests that include shopping,
reading, sewing, crafts, and spending time with
my three sisters. |
